Watch Repairs
Any recommendations for new and antique?
Quite specialist trade when beyond battery replacement but watch not worth a huge amount.... seems wasteful however, not to fix.

Re: Worst local transport journeys?
Really don’t feel safe interchanging at Brixton from Tube to rail station. Always troublemakers around, another incident / police tape the other day, and sexual harrassment is rife. Never felt safe walking the “long wall” walk from Lower Sydenham either, but for a different reason - the sheer feelin...
Re: sticky:Mural?
I noticed shorthands now have the banner / typeface underneath their railway bridge. We are lagging behind and just need that flat wall

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
From what I have seen, a lot of the problems on forums stem from a culture where others comment on the opinion of others rather than simply posting their own opinion. The emotive responses are often magnified by a quote of the original post. A simple “I disagree, my opinion is this..” rather than ca...

Ticket Office Closures - Have your say
Saw this and thought to share.
Includes some local stations, so have your say by 11th October, if you wish to do so.

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
Really good meal again last night. Very fresh and tasty. Service however was not so. Very friendly, but very unprofessional. There really is little point in trying to upsell wines if you cannot pronounce them, and don’t actually know what they are. Poor chap was obviously well meaning, but desperate...

Re: Accident in Kent House Rd
I walked by just after this had happened, on my way to see the bees. Met a lovely couple who were trying to help slow down traffic, so that it could safely negotiate around the car; this couldn’t be easily moved, as the wheel that took the impact was completely buckled under. Someone was busy callin...

Mamma Dough
Now that Nando’s is open, I thought I’d start a separate thread for any news on Mamma Dough.
There was no indication of works starting when I walked by earlier.
Does anyone have any insight?

Re: Begging outside Sainsbury's local
http://www.ukcrimestats.com/Neighbourhood/8302 I think I’ll stick with what the crime stats are telling me on this one. Sydenham’s not perfect - there is always room for improvement (and opportunity for people to be even nicer to each other), but there is no giant crime wave upon us. Clearly Some h...

Wells Park Place? They didn’t receive sign off for occupation on time apparently and buyers were frustrated because the move date kept... moving. Although I think it’s sorted or almost and some will be taking occupation now(ish) All local gossip, so not entirely sure. From the website, Most of the f...

Re: Begging outside Sainsbury's local
I agree with Stuart, I have lived in London for 20 years and have felt unsafe only a handful of times (never here, couple of times late at night walking through New Cross/Central London when there has been an altercation). That said I understand that one witnessed, these incidents can invoke genuine...

This is fantastic!
So difficult to predict trade levels at and around launch date.
It will find it’s pace and will no doubt be successful.
Yay for Sydenham!

I went there yesterday and failed to be able to buy the wasp powder I wanted.
I noticed that they were trying to sell off a Garden table and chair set for double the original sale price but claiming it was discounted.
....a signage company somewhere is doing well out of this one assumes!
