Re: Betts Park
Matt, I maybe wrong, but I'm pretty certain that the park was named after Edward Ladd Betts (5 June 1815 – 21 January 1872) who was a widely respected and prominent civil engineering contractor who worked on many large projects around the world, but also layed some of the railways in south-east Lond...

Re: "White Tiger" kittens
You may want to investigate Bengal cats, although as far as I'm aware, they aren't available in the black and mackerel coat/scheme. But that's nothing a bit of food colouring can't fix. With regards to the number you attached; it wasn't really my business to ask, but I'm incorrigibly nosey and I had...

Re: "White Tiger" kittens
Firstly, and this isn't a joke, but at first glance I can't blame you for thinking otherwise, they're called Toygers. It's a rare breed still in the infancy of its development, so getting you paws on one may prove difficult, but I'm by no means an expert on feline procurement, so I may be wrong. Sec...

Re: BELTWOOD IN SYDENHAM HILL
Hi everyone, google has a lot of interesting period detail and discussion about the eccentric owner of this clearly fascinating property. I've just moved into Sydenham Hill. i'd love to know what the current status is with this house..who owns it? whats the story? As Dorian has already mentioned, i...

Re: Tyre slashing in Homecroft Road
Try leaving a scarecrow sitting in the driver's seat overnight (ideally wearing a semi-luminous hockey mask), then see how it goes from there. It worked for me when I was being targeted by an unstable, nocturnal acupuncturist. All joking aside, though. You'll probably find that one of your neighbour...

Please excuse my undoubted ignorance but what is EDFer. Your typical EDFer is a peculiar breed, Eagle, but words can't really describe neo-liberals, so pictures will have to suffice: http://blog.mlive.com/saginawnews_impact/2008/10/large_MMS.carnescouple002.jpg http://www.sagennext.com/wp-content/u...

from 0.37 seconds onwards, you'll find some incredibly rare footage from both Keith Richard's and Mick Jagger's respective childhoods. It''s widely aknowledged as essential amongst dedicated Rolling Stones fan. Enjoy.

Tell me, Hill Dweller. Were you brought under suspicion by the obsessive moderator/administrator's pet SeanMacGabhann? If you were, don't take it personally. He's got a thing for me, in that whenever he encounters a newcomer to the EDF who doesn't follow the herd, he defaults to his favourite, defle...

Re: Some minor observations
Being "accused" of impersonating a BBW is a compliment IMO. Others would strongly beg to differ. I recently had a burning cross waved at me in an.other forum while being accused of being 'wolf'. IF the misled finger pointers meant the 'wolf' here I think she has a much better SoH than I h...

Re: Forest Hill School Deficit Budget
I don't know how relevant this is, but what you won't find in the report is that Lewisham Council doesn't actually own the school buildings. They rent them from the company, Bouygues, that re-developed the school, making them liable for any costs concerning maintainence.

Re: Campaign for a new Lewisham Primary School
Actually I'm basing my judgement on the faces attending the 'Governors' meeting Fair enough, but there are still only 6 faces attached to the facebook account holders who have pledged to attend. Did it not occur to you that they're the only parents who bothered to reply, irrespective of their race,...

Re: Campaign for a new Lewisham Primary School
I did not see many non-white faces on the facebook page. You're basing your judgement on the 6 faces in the 'like' section of the facebook page out of the 37 people who have offered their support, of which the 6 you saw were the only one's that are visible due to the (racially impartial) software u...

Re: Any gay bars in Syd/FH?
I think that instead of reading Norn Iron Sydenham's post properly, some people have decided to side with the PC brigade because the tone of his post appears a bit inflammatory. To a certain extent it has been designed to cause a bit of friction, but if you take take the time to read it carefully, a...

I like his work. I just made pancakes this morning. His recipe is so simple, one cup flour, one cup milk and an egg and you're all set. Yum. I've cooked all sorts of his recipes and my kids love them. We often put stewed apples on the pancakes and so the lads head off to school all set for a day's ...

GLOBAL THINKER is one of the men I've described who's never found a woman. Online or otherwise. He's eternally condemned to languish in the company of his own, ever faithful fist.
