Costcutter just got smashed up by the bus stop at 10.15 tonight, decided to get out of there. 15 masked youths or so legged it off into Queensthorpe. Pretty scary with no police around.

I would stay off the high street for now just in case.

thanks Biscuitman, I don't think that will really help unfortunately.

The planning document specifically mentions because its social housing car ownership will be low and there wont be any additional need for car parking. I'm curious if this is actually the case.

Out of interest does anyone have any facts about car ownership for those in this type of social housing? Other than the blandness of the design that seems to be the other issue regarding the development of the site.

I found a planning application for 17 houses/flats for the buildings at 255-269 Sydenham Rd (between Highclere and Sunnydene Street) that people should be aware of. While its great something is going to be done with the derelict buildings but it's a shame they couldn't renovate the old buildings. Af...

Sorry to hear this, my condolences. Havent lived here that long but I always enjoyed reading his posts bringing Sydenham history to life. Hopefully his posts will be read many years on from now.

That's just evil

This is depressing, its a really nice corner to Mayow Park now. I thought the park keeper was meant to be there full time or was that wishful thinking these days?

sigh I always hoped that would turn into something nice (Thai Restaurant anyone), we probably have enough estate agents don't we?

Hopefully the Bell Green work will help this end of Sydenham a bit.

Speaking of building works, does anyone know when the high street is meant to start?
