This also ties in to the Kirkdale roadworks thread, but I thought I'd post here as it as most relevant. I think the problem people have with the construction of bus lanes is that they further congest already crowded roads for car users. But if we are to have the smooth running public transport we so...

It's a fair cop. I allowed myself to be lured into commenting on one of my pet hates.

Entirely my fault, sorry for being a grouch.

That isn't odd, just a bit stifled.
I'd have said ascribing something you don't understand to the supernatural demonstrates a more closeted mindset, but maybe that's just a further example of how stifled I am. :D

Stone-penge
Still-Robbo; you are confusing the natural world with the super natural one.
The laws of physics need not apply in the latter one.(and obviously don't)
Yeah I'm odd like that, I prefer to see the beauty in what actually exists rather than flights of fancy.

How can something be white and non-reflective? "white" is actually what we see when all colours are reflected, "black" when none are. If it was albinio then it would be white (or whiteish depending on the degree) and pretty clear against a dark background, though not necessarily ...

Can't we just leave it at some peope don't want to reveal their full name? You shouldn't weight posts more just because they come from someone using their full name. Not least because police advice is not to do it.

I apologise for not posting in BIG IRONIC CAPITALS. The man was slashed from adam's apple to ear, if you read the article. I think that speaks for itself.

Greg, I do admire your stance on internet/forum anonymity and fully understand your point, but I for one wouldn't feel comfortable putting my full name up on a public forum. From a name - it is an easy step to find an address or telephone number and from the conversational nature of a forum quite of...

Just writing in support of AliB's point of view. Yes - safety and traffic flow should be the parking attendants primary focus of attention - not revenue generation and I think that they should be concentrating on those areas rather than supermarket car parks. Sure, individual parents will feel perse...

Yes of course they can - that's what the forum is all about. I just didn't want it to be a whitewash of comments that were negative about the proposition. For what it's worth I also think the later hours that they are seeking approval for are far too late. Concerts in Hyde Park end at 11 o' clock an...

OK maybe you can take my comment as a personal attack, it wasn't meant to be. I was just picking up on what I felt to be a rather unpleasant sentiment. I agree with most of what is said on STF and feel that everybody who lives here has a right to comment. If I disagree with what is being said I have...

Comments such as "I do hope the current patrons of the Dolphin find another stone to crawl under" say more about you than them.

I hope the new Dolphin will welcome all decent customers, whether they visited the old incarnation or not.

I think this smacks of NIMBYism - a couple (max) of concerts a year can't be a bad thing for the area can it?
