Re: Activity in old Coop
Noticed the anti-HS2 signs on the canopy at the building frontage. It's not the most politically favoured nor the most popular project in the communities through which it must pass. Here's some food for thought. We are all enjoying blue skies almost free of aircraft and the CO2 pollution that goes w...
Re: SCAMS
A completely different approach yesterday. An SMS message appeared on my iPhone. It said it was from BT. It stated I had a problem with the settings for my BT email and had failed to make changes to my settings that they had advised me were necessary in an email sent previously. Of course I had neve...

Happy to raise the matter with my neighbour's daughter.
I believe she has completed her online report to the Met Police.
As soon as I have spoken with her - I'll pm you on here.

Re: Where do people dispose of their lightbulbs?
Just viewed Bromley's webcam at Churchfields Road - and there appears to be zero traffic there. Has anyone succeeded in getting one of the prerequisite appointments, particularly if you are not a Bromley resident ? Been reshuffling the corners of the garden shed and the garage - and there is always ...

Car Vandalism in Lescombe Road
To the two bare-footed buffoons, who on Friday night/Saturday morning at 4am in Lescombe Road took a gallon of dumped paint (blue) and poured it over a car there, I have an announcement to make. You vandalised a car that belongs to our neighbour's daughter. In a collective effort by her family and n...
Re: SCAMS
Today a new form of email scam got into my mailbox. It informed me that I had cancelled my TV licence subscription and insisted that I proceed straight away and set up a new payment scheme - and guess what - provide all my bank details !! It was a lie. There was not even a hint of truth in what was ...

Re: Where do people dispose of their lightbulbs?
The link provided was part of a registration process which in turn lead to the applicant being able to make an appointment to attend one of the sites and dispose of waste. It would be interesting to know if the resident's pass would be adequate to enable you to acquire the prerequisite appointment. ...

Royal Mail to stop Saturday deliveries
The Royal Mail has made this announcement yesterday. Industry insiders and unions believe the CEO of the company is using the crisis of the CV-19 pandemic to covertly implement his long term objective of permanently reducing the workforce by over 20,000 people. It is evident that this same CEO will ...

The show comes to an end over the next two nights. Forecasts show it may be a little cloudy 19:00-20:00 tonight but hopefully there will be adequately clear skies to let us see a few meteors. Re: Planning alert - St Philip Neri school travel plan, last chance to comment
This is a longer read than I planned – it is important enough to warrant it. If people think it needs clarification, then just send in a comment to ask for it. Ask for more information about the status of the existing entrances, and about the main entrance continuing to be from the park. We are all ...

Re: Planning alert - St Philip Neri school travel plan, last chance to comment
It would appear that there is no concern about vehicular traffic or changes to it described in the Travel Plan. Is that right? Please, then, help everyone understand what you mean. Describe what in the document needs clarification about pedestrian access. Removed At the end of the day you may be abs...

Re: Planning alert - St Philip Neri school travel plan, last chance to comment
The point is that, if approaching as a pedestrian from Winchfield Road, the obvious and quickest route would be through the park to the main entrance, not to Fairlawn Park where the existing 'access point' entrance is only open for kindergarten, and some out of hours clubs. It is not available for ...

Re: Planning alert - St Philip Neri school travel plan, last chance to comment
I am not certain what is being highlighted here. The newly submitted plan describes an alternative walking route to an existing access point. It does not state this is to be a new main route and it does specifically refer to pedestrians. 2.12 For pedestrians, an alternative walking along the major r...
