Hi Dutch Cow, Have you found any more info regarding Miriam Court? Walked past today and there's a completely out of place looking mock-Grecian balastraude thing. Looks awful!!

Sorry Pat, I seem to have said the complete opposite to what i meant. What I meant to say was that from the way you looked on telly you can't possibly be of the 'certain age' you are implying (and I meant YOUNGER). It came out all wrong.

Pat. I saw you on telly the other night. Surely you have the dates wrong. How old were you when you had your adeoids out ?!!!! 27 ? (I think adenoids were at the back of the throat, behind and up towards the roof of the mouth. They're not there anymore, they became extinct in 1966 being renedered us...

May I ask, if its not too trivial a question... does anyone know what will happen to the Cafe? I would hope that the current leasees will be encouraged to change the menu (I don't want anyone to lose their livelyhood) - at the moment its 'burgers and hotdogs' and weak nescafe in a polestyrene cup - ...

The school haven't been back in touch since I called them but we're having second thoughts anyway. It seems you have to be around for the students whilst they are here and that would make it difficult for us to go on holiday during their 'term time' - and Middle Eastern students don't tend to go hom...

Yeah, we'll be there and have invited friends too... they're coming from Kew, Ladbroke Grove, Farnham (Surrey) and Yorkshire no less. It had better stop raining coz I can't accommodate them all in my house.

Good luck and thanks.

I use the 122. I know they're a nightmare, they are full of hormones and they are in a world of their own but they're not scary. And they have every right to use the bus as anyone else..... even if they wait 7 mins for a bus and then get off at the very next and stop which would have taken them one ...

I use buses fairly regularly and the only time I have ever seen abuse is when a DRIVER abused a passenger. It was a male driver and he insisted that a lady fold her buggy. He then took off with a jerk then braked sharply causing the toddler to fall and bang her head. When the mother complained to hi...

....ah....what you saw was a 'one seat behind the other' rather than the 'side by side' type. Yes, that would go down the isle.

No but Cinderella Services in Sydenham road can supply you with one. Though I must advise caution here.. I used them about 5 years ago and the cleaner they supplied didn't actually do any cleaning at all but burnt a stain on my toilet mat with raw bleach on her first (and last) day. They then sent a...

I agree Julwz. There is no way a bus driver would allow 5 buggies onto a bus. Two is ok but after that the (third)buggy-bearer would be asked to fold or wait for the next bus. And in anycase a double-buggy would not go down the aisle - its hard enough with one!

Cancel that. I rang the Bose helpline in the US. Apparently their dvd players don't play picture discs. End of. Great.

URGENT TECHNICAL HELP NEEDED!!

Hi there, I want to 'play' some holiday photo picture discs through the dvd player but when I put a disc in it says 'format unsupported'. This is a Bose Lifestyle DVD - much more expensive than the cheap one upstairs which plays them no problem! Does anyone know a way around it? I wanted to look at ...

Brilliant! I didn't know they did lunch and salads too. Fantastic news. We always liked the one in Forest Hill but it was in such a bad position it didn't get enough custom and closed down. The Sydenham one will have no probs on that score.

LMS Gas Services based in Forest Hill are well established and very good. They have done work for us for the past 10 years and will not rip you off. They are just about to do my friend's aged mother's complete central heating installation and the guy spent an hour with her telling her exactly what w...

Has anyone let room to foreign language student?

We have been in touch with Kings School in Beckenham with a view to providing room and mentoring to a foreign language student. Has anyone done this and if so what was your experience?

Thanks.
