leenewham - thanks for the heads up on the Bathhouse, we had a look on the week-end what an Aladdin's cave of stuff! Shame they haven't got more space I bet there's some great fireplaces buried in there. I'm not sure we'll get the front door from there but there's lots of stuff to help bring back th...

Appoligies just re-read your message, yes sometimes I think it's worth paying for if the service & quality is good.

New Front Door

Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations where to buy & install a new front door from? Any past experiences worth passing on?

I came across Select A Door on Penge High Street, has anyone used them?

many thanks

thanks for the replies, sounds like I should just give it a go. I went for a swim at a pool in Battersea early Sunday morning last year, the pool I can only descrbe as foggy/milky, didnt make much sense at the time but after I found out this because of all the kids taking a p*** in the pool. Hope it...

I'm not sure if having 2 sites is better than a single site, this site has a great lively forum & also lots of good information about the area. Having more video content would be nice so why not have it as a sub-site of this one, you'd get more traffic no? Anyway I'll reserve judgement until I s...

I've been in there a couple of times & I think it's just right, not too pretentious, reasonably priced, and the food/coffee is good. Friendly service. Oh nice job with the toilet as well, Blue Moon should take note on how to do it properly. There's things they could do to improve food wise but t...

Birds eye view of Sydenham

Came across this & thought people might find it interesting, Live maps now has a Angled view from the Skies that you can rotate around. Needs a broadband connection but it's pretty cool....

Check out Sydenham

Using a PDA

I've got a t-mobile Vario II (windows mobile) phone & occasionally check in to the forum on the way home, the forum continually throws up script errors on every page. I use other forums (like money saving expert) with no problems, just thought I'd report it.

thanks for the reply Richie, very informative. I work around the same area & would be going to Charing Cross so I was worried what the journey would be like in the morning. How packed are the trains, can you get a seat or is that just dreaming? I checked out the Sainsbury by Bell Green (I think)...

I hope it proves friendly & wish it all the best, the highstreet could do with a mixture of places not just all day breakfasts.

Sunnydene Street

What's the area like around this end of Sydenham, we're thinking about moving to this end any thoughts appreciated? I saw there is a swiming pool just down the road towards Lower Sydenham, what's it like? Transport to Charing Cross is important & looks fairly good with Sydenham & Lower Syden...
