The problem I have is that I don't have access to the system that records details of trains that have run in the past , I can only look at trains that are due to run between the time I am looking at around 2am the following morning. The one thing that did spring to mind, is that maybe a train or two...

Sorry, peeps. Once in a while the dummy gets spat out the pram  For what it's worth. I'd like to add that if anyone says they're gonna take 8 weeks to do something, it should be done in 8 weeks! Thanks MiniFox and Gaz for your comments. And to all the Southern-haters, don't worry, in two months...

PP are we really quibbling over a few days? If it gets to the END of week commencing 20th July then we are on twelve weeks and counting. We aren't NOW Is it worth continuing to defend Southern on this forum any longer? All the early morning trains are cancelled every day. Disabled people have no way...

But what was wrong with the arrangements before putting this structure in? What benefit does it bring? It is unnecessary and through it being built disabled people are receiving a 2nd class service... The structure is not being placed there to benefit disabled people - it is being placed there to d...

Welcome, Oblivion. Your experiences here are sure to be much nicer than your experiences in Savacentre Car Park.... Are you new to the area or just new to the Forum? I feel a bit annoyed now for suggesting that these idiots could somehow be turned into responsible individuals.....a bit naive of me.....

IB is about four or five shops down the high street in a Somerfield/Slatters direction from the corner of Silverdale.

The rubbish was about 20 metres down Silverdale in an empty-sorting-office direction next to some wheelie bins.

And you will have it again when the works are completed......and in the meantime, arrangements are in place for those who need it. As I said, it is easy to create a law with the swish of a pen (tapping of keys on a keyboard) but not so easy to magically improve the infrastructure needed to comply wi...

And I commend you Barty for your investigative skills. Didn't take much in the way of investigative skills......the top box had something about a spray tan unit printed on it, and the one underneath had a courier's label showing the delivery address   didn't need to be Sherlock Holmes for...

The vast majority of stations were built in a time when disabled people were treated as social outcasts. That we now have a DDA is commendable, but a law can be devised much more quickly than the nation's Victorian railway station buildings can be upgraded. Work is underway at many Southern stations...

Do I detect a little hostility to the fact that I revealed that an otherwise excellent business with many good reviews did what they did? I am not seeking to discredit them or encourage anyone not to use them - clearly in their short time in Sydenham they have many satisfied customers already. I jus...

I think we should support them. They have made a real effort and are part of the visual regeneration of the high street. I agree. They have not, however, contributed to the visual regeneration of Silverdale, where they dumped a quantity of plastic and cardboard packaging (with their address on it :...

As to the side gate - try Southern's Customer Services for an estimate of opening.....and in the meantime, if anyone needs assistance with crossing the footbridge, contact Southern's Assisted Travel unit, before you travel.

Gaz, I've only just seen your post of 18/6. I'm afraid I have very little knowledge of this kind of side of Southern's operation. In the job I do, I get told when things happen after the event, I'm not in any way part of a process where I can have some input into shaping what will go on in the futur...

Re: Mobile Ovens

I catch the 0740 to London Bridge every morning; it is one of those new trains, with sealed windows and air con. I've noticed that the air con isnt normally turned on until New Cross Gate - in fact, this morning it wasnt turned on at all. Has anyone else noticed this? Are the train operators under ...
