Re: The Sydenham Society
Pat I have nothing but admiration for you and Sydenham Society and often despair when I come to this forum and see the usual bunch just having a gossip with one another and not inputting anything useful. They might as well pick up the phone to eachother as I wonder what their point is that they come...

Re: RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM
Can't they be bypassed by approaching the Mayor of London for help instead? Just an idea.

Re: RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM
There's a To Let sign on the premises. Was that always there? I was worried that Nando's might have pulled out as I hadn't noticed the sign there previously..

Re: Man with 2 dogs off lead
I think this is the guy whose dog mauled a cat to death which was sitting in its front garden a year or so ago around the Thorpe triangle area?
Re: Budgens
I'd prefer an M & S or Waitrose!
Re: Foxes!
Foxes are gorgeous creatures that live among us. We are blessed to have them around.
Please give them some slack.

Re: Mugging
Yes, Airies. I'm very grateful that you put it up on this forum as it often helps to know what's happening in the areas we live so that we can be extra vigilant for our personal safety and also to get these rotters caught. So thank you for sharing. Hope you soon get over the shock of the incident an...

Re: Bell Green Retail & Employment Plan Consultation
The steel architecture of the gas holders is beautiful. It would be a tragic loss to Sydenham if these were demolished, and a travesty!
The locals MUST please object to their demolition. There should be an outcry.

Re: Bell Green Retail & Employment Plan Consultation
Everywhere else these majestic steel gas holders are being Listed and included within the new design/development of regeneration but not in Sydenham. No. There is a lack of imagination and forward thinking in investing in the local heritage of the area. The Planners must rethink this and locals MUST...

Sydenham Christmas Tree
The new Sydenham Christmas 'tree' looks like a twig and is an INSULT to all of us residents who live here. Can it be changed please, to something that resembles a Christmas tree???? It's bad enough that the Christmas lights are an annual shamefest but the tree too?? It's ridiculous. Where is the fun...

Re: Greyhound Guerilla Gardening
I'd be up for joining a guerilla gardening group and assist with the roundabout. The more well maintained it is the more it gives a positive impression of the area. Isn't there any Portas Pilot funding left to assist with this? Pat, re:the gap left in the brickwork in the wall after buddliea removal...

Re: Burglaries
Burgled twice in two weeks! That is awful. It's such an invasion of your personal space. I hope the scumbags are caught and that you manage to get over the trauma quickly. Thankfully it's not typical of Sydenham but when we hear of a burglary we feel concerned about where it happened and how. It wou...
