I actually picked the Metro up this morning, following yesterday's conversation. On page 4 I spotted a photo labelled as David Ross (he's been on the news the last few days for being very naughty with shares) which clearly wasn't him... how hard can it be to use a photo of the right person in a story?

I understand where you're coming from nickerbockers, but the "journalism" is truly dire.. however, I have noticed that Sydenham doesn't get it yet Forest Hill station does - has that always been the case?

I agree with Maestro - most appliances like that aren't worth repairing these days. I just had a quick look online and Tesco do a Sony (ie good brand) option for £12 or a Technika one which is reduced from £50 to £5!

• Toy fair - boyfriend and I bought niece and nephew presents from a fabulous toyshop in Cranbrook, Kent on the weekend. It sells wonderful, original toys of much higher quality than bog standard toy stores. Also has lots of handmade-style and traditional toys. So something like that in a market wou...

I'd like to see: - a fishmonger with fresh products - a knowledgable butcher - organic fruit and veg - good quality, unique homeware EDIT: didn't realise that I've worded that in exactly the same as natbeuk, it took me a few attempts to describe what I meant too! - at weekends, hot food stalls (lik...

Unique homeware is exactly what it says! Furniture, gadgets, ornamental bits and pieces... hand made, one-offs, small brands...anything that you wouldn't get in your average high street store.

Great minds think alike Chazza  I second the idea of hot food stalls, there's a few at Borough that do it brilliantly. Also, I love the free samples that a lot of the stallholders do there. Borough has a great, buzzing atmosphere and people flock to it.. imagine if something similar could be c...

Where is this meant to be distributed/available?
I could report that I don't receive it but I don't know if that's a problem, or if I'm actually not supposed to receive it!!

leenewham wrote:Regarding the possibility of an REAL indoor market, what would people like to see in one, if one did happen. Perhaps?
I'd have two main requests:
Food, ie fresh produce along the lines of Borough Market.
Good quality, unique, homewares and clothing.

The more I look at the design, the less I think it suits the area. Sydenham has some lovely old architecture, and while modern and old can sit well alongside and compliment each other.... well, ultimately the flats look like big blocks, and big blocks don't really compliment anything. I can see this...
