Re: THE FUNK COMMITTEE PRESENTS A NIGHT OF PURE HEAVEN

Hi Pauline. It's sounds really good but unfortunately there's no chance of us getting a babysitter at this late hour. However I'll definitely look foward to future events. I'm sure it will be a great night and all the better that it's local! Cheers Chris.

Blue Mountain Canopy

Anyone else think Blue Mountain could do with giving their canopy a wash? Looks more like Green Algae Mountain at the moment.

Re: High street improvements

Agree house price rises aren’t good, even if you own a property. It’s basically priced us out of getting a bigger house in the area and our next move will have to be out of London.

Re: High street improvements

I’ve lived on Champion Crescent for 7 years and really like it here. It’s about a 12 min walk to the station and only 4 mins to Mayow Park which, in my opinion, is the best park in Sydenham. Agreed there’s not much currently on the High Street at this end that’s worth mentioning other than the libra...

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey

Trying to get to the point where they could legally knock it down would probably take another 5 years of faff. Why not stick to the plan and get it sorted asap.

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey

I been living here for over 7 years and in the that time the greyhound has always been boarded up. Never known such a faff. Just rebuild it so people can start enjoying it.

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey

just get it rebuilt as a pub that we can start using. A decent pub that close to the station is bound to do well. If the state of the morning trains are anything to go by then loads of people have moved here recently. Can't really see the appeal of it being an open space/pocket park. Who want to sit...

Re: Pavilion closed

its a shame this place is still dodgy after the money spent on the refit. Assume if it gets its license back it will be subject to it sorting its image out. If it does there could be a good little collection of pubs at this end of the high street, assuming the wine bar opposite and the greyhound open.

I think it’s a really great service. The app is very easy to use and quick to submit a issue. You get confirmation that the issue has been approved normally within an hour and the issue is dealt with within a couple of days. I think the majority of residents take pride in where they live. As previou...

Re: Love Lewisham

Another round of appluase for Love Lewisham. Took a photo of a really sharp dodgy tree stump on my way to work this morning. Submitted it through the Love Lewisham site and they're sending some around to sort it out. Such an easy app to use and the best way of keeping your local area in a decent sta...

Re: Love Lewisham

yeah used this the other day after someone left a load of half full cans of paint on our road. Sumitted an entry via the Love lewisham app and they were gone by the next day. The only danger is that people take advantage and just dump stuff ouside their house knowing that it should be cleared by the...

its shame your advice wasn't taken on board Lee. Really like this one; http://www.esi.info/detail.cfm/Streetlife/RoughReady-street-furniture/_/R-PROFILE-114147_ Do you think its worth pushing to get a better offering further down the high street (assuming funding is found for development down to Bel...
