Re: STF Users Meeting - arranged 1pm Sunday (NOT 12 noon)
Dear Dom I am more than happy to identify myself as the attendee you are mocking. It is rather sad that your first act as a new broom at the forum is to be quite as unnecessarily rude as this, because I wanted to address one thing that wasn't on your extensive agenda. Writing minutes is usually a t...

Re: STF Users Meeting - arranged 1pm Sunday (NOT 12 noon)
Great work Dom - All sounds pretty sensible so you can count on my support for any changes along those lines. So, there was 4 of us at the meeting yesterday. It was quite tricky to try and keep things focussed with one of the attendees constantly talking about people who post unpopular opinions etc...

Re: STF Users Meeting - arranged 1pm Sunday (NOT 12 noon)
So, these are some of the points that were brought up on Sunday. Please note that these are not concrete changes, but feedback is very welcome! So, there was 4 of us at the meeting yesterday. Which isn't bad for a starter meeting So a couple of points to try and spruce up the forum: 1 - Colour chang...

Re: STF Users Meeting - arranged 1pm Sunday (NOT 12 noon)
All went very well and some very good ideas were raised.
I have sent them over to Admin first before I put them on here for all to see.
Patience is appreciated. I'm sure that I'll be able to disclose all ideas soon for people to comment on.

Re: STF Users Meeting - arranged 1pm Sunday (NOT 12 noon)
I will be taking notes along the way and posting all information that I manage to get down on here after the meeting. I realise that 1pm on a Sunday in a pub that serves roasts probably isn't the best time to do it, but it does seem like the one that is most suitable for people. Apologies if you can...

Ok, so 1pm on Sunday it is then.
Admin, is it worth putting this on a fresh thread to announce?
Cheers,
Dom

Re: STF users meeting
I think Sunday is going to be the best date for people as there are a couple who can't do Wednesday.
What times are more suitable for people? lunch time or evening? I'm thinking 12/1pm or 7/8pm?

getting there. Slowly but surely!
I'm free both Wednesday and Sunday too, so it depends on which is the most popular.

Re: STF users meeting
Hi all, Yep, I am happy to arrange this. Apologies for the delay in getting something sorted out. It's been a hectic couple of weeks, moving in etc. How do people feel about Wednesday evening this week at the Golden Lion? Alternatively next Sunday? However, I do appreciate that this is quite far awa...

FREE: Moving Boxes
Hi,
I have quite a few moving boxes available for free. Various sizes including wardrobe box with hanging rail.
Please let me know if you'd like to collect them before I take them for recycling.
Also great for building a fort if you aren't moving house!

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
We complete on our house tomorrow, so once we're settled in, I'd be happy to arrange something. If the Admin don't mind of course?
Might take a couple of weeks until I'm straight, but I'm happy to take the lead on arranging something?

Re: End Of Tenancy Clean
Thanks Mosy. The Mrs has booked one in now.
It doesn't need a deep clean as we aren't really that messy, but I know some estate agents can be sticklers for trying to keep deposits so thought it would be worth the price.

End Of Tenancy Clean
Hi all,
I'm leaving ED for Sydenham in a couple of weeks and wondered if anybody could recommend a good end of tenancy cleaning company?
Cheers,
Dom

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
This is exactly what I was hoping for to be honest. Lots of different people in an open debate. Agreeing and disagreeing but not in an aggressive way. Collaborating on new ideas. I do think that it's the reach of the forum that is hindering it. As far as the look of the forum, I think it works fine....

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
Hey all, Let’s not forget this site was good enough to get Nando’s or open up. Dom it may not look fancy but we get the job done. Maybe settle in first and get a feel for the forum before suggesting changing everything. You don’t want to be a gentrifier do you? Let Dom settle in, but I think that's...

Re: The Golden Lion
The history of the Golden Lion is gruesome but fascinating in equal measure. I'm sure you're all aware, but if you're not, do a little google search on Daniel Morgan Murder. Don't worry, it was 30 years ago, but it's so interesting how far that rabbit hole goes!! The podcast "Untold" with ...

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
I think Tim has a great idea. Along with Admin (if they are happy to) meet up over a coffee or a beer and basically just throw some ideas out there to see how more traffic can be introduced. I do agree that the look of the EDF is slightly more user friendly and it is brighter, so I think a revamp (d...
