I was speaking to a friend of mine on the week-end who is a project manager at a web company, very experienced. He recommended using an open source package called Joomla for content management for community sites. It has many extensions & plugins to run everything from flickr content to classifi...

I know exactly what you mean, it looks like washing machine water churning out. I was wondering if anything can be done about it?

If you find another contact post it here & I'll send one in as well.

We had our aerial wired up recently & I was talking to the installer about freesat. He mentioned not all of the freeview channels are available as of yet, probably the end of the year he thought. Plus you will have to buy a new receiver which hadn't occurred to me as well to get the new service....

my vote is for the dragon, having a pub as the local symbol doesnt quite work for me. Steve's post sums it up best.

Nice idea, be good to give a unique identity to the place.

Shame there weren't any Victorian graphic designers in Sydenham with a better image though :)

Yeah I saw them flying in pairs about 300ft up right overhead, gone before I blinked! F-18's I'm guessing by the look of them, twin tails.

More exciting than the usual city airport noise :)

Power came back on in Lower Sydenham around 9:45, funny to hear the whoops & shouts sat in the garden, then of course the alarms kicked off again. I'll post some pictures up in a bit. The station looked pretty totalled amazed they managed to get power back.

If it comes to having a chain restaurant on the high street versus an empty building/shop I know which one I'd prefer! Having a lovely family run Italian that was kid friendly did great food etc. that would of course be my preference but how do we get that? It's tricky as I do hate the way every hig...

Yeah a decent coffee shop like flat white would be great, only problem with Flat White is they take ages to make it & the food isnt that great but in the top 5 best coffee shops in Soho. Just make sure you get your beans from Monmouth Coffee shop in Covent Garden (where FW does). Now whether the...

I cant imagine there would be a flood of traffic to the store. The simple thing to do is run it as a trial, monitor traffic levels for a week before it opens then a month after. If there's a significant increase then the council has a mandate to revoke the opening hours (or something like that). Loc...

I'd be up for taking some photos of the event if you'd like them? I've been wanting to take try taking some of a sports event for a while.

Cricket wiise I havent played cricket since I was 12 so I seriously doubt I'd be any use on the field.
