Sydenham Assembly - Wed 18 June 7pm The Sydenham Centre

Post by Chris Best »

A reminder that we have the Sydenham Assembly tomorrow evening starting at 7pm in The Sydenham Centre next to the Post Office in the high street. Everyone living in Sydenham ward should have received the Newsletter through the door - and here is the link - http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/getinvolved/ ... letter.pdf to the page on Lewisham's web site.

The presentation will be focus on the health services as we have a speaker from Healthwatch and the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) who work closely with local GPs.

The police will be giving an update on the murder investigation at Wells Park Road and we are in discussion on building more community engagement following the recent meetings at the TNG.

Gavin Cooper from Lewisham Planning Department will once again be providing an update on The Greyhound. Following the local elections I have attended a meeting with Purelake and Hexagon to discuss how we can take the situation forward to ensure a commercially viable pub.

We will also have an update on the Action Plan setting out the top five priorities for Sydenham and what we need to do to deliver:
  • bringing the community together – intergenerational and intercultural activities
  • health, wellbeing and community safety
  • vibrant high street
  • clean and green – helping to keep Sydenham streets clean and appealing
  • transport improvements
We are looking for more volunteers to join the SEE3 Town Team groups as well as opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects - please come along to share your views and join in your local community.
