Register for Lewisham Means Business

Businesses in Lewisham have been invited to register for the second Lewisham Means Business exhibition and expo to be held on Thursday 12 February at the Civic Suite in Catford.

The free event, which runs from 9am to 5pm, is being organised in conjunction with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and is for owners of local small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who want to meet local suppliers, take part in speed networking, find out how to promote their business using social media and learn about the support available to them from the Council.

Delegates will be able to hear from a range of guest speakers including Nick Howe from NatWest who will offer advice on starting up a new business, and Ola Agbaimoni, founder of Eelan Media, who will explain the highs and lows of social media.

The event will also feature exhibitors including NatWest, Companies House and the Intellectual Property Office who will promote their business-to-business services as well as give legal and financial advice. In addition, free one-to-one advice sessions will be on offer to attendees.

Sir Steve Bullock, Mayor of Lewisham, said: “Last year’s first Lewisham Means Business event was an overwhelming success which brought together industry experts, business advisors, local suppliers, and some of Lewisham’s top entrepreneurial talent under one roof. Anyone who is looking to start a business, or maintain or grow the business they already have, should come along to this event and get free advice and support.”

If you own or work for an SME based in Lewisham and would like to book your free place please register online at http://www.lewishammeansbusiness.co.uk or call 020 3039 3039.
