Real Latin Salsa Is just what it says. Yamile Herrera is a dance teacher with 10 years experience in all forms of latin salsa and tango. She specialises in Salsa Rueda and offers group classes and individual tuition.

We meet every Tuesday in Sydenham from 7.30 - 9.30. Yamile's classes follow an enjoyable and effective routine:

Initially there is a short 10 minute warm up session - usually this comprises some simple footwork, often Cali style with some basic salsa steps to music. Absolute beginners may arrive at 7.00pm for the first hour free

Thereafter, the first class, about 1 hour is reserved for beginners and improvers although intermediate and advanced dancers also join in.

The second hour is for intermediate and advanced dancers practising more complicated sequences sometimes to faster music

Silverdale Hall is situated along Silverdale road. Walk down from Sydenham Road about 50 metres and you will see some green metal gates on the right and the hall is down some steps. From Sydenham Station leave through the Station Office via an alley the end of which is almost opposite the hall.
