Credit where credit's due to Thames Water...

Post by mosy »

Something caused a leak towards the end of last week near the top end of Silverdale, It can't have been deemed an emergency as it was left running over the weekend. But fair do's, they stopped it yesterday, backfilled the subsoil today and it just needs the road repair finish now.

Considering the months it took to get an earlier leak mended, hats off for speedily sorting out this one :)

It was deemed an emergency. Thames Water started work on it yesterday morning. Left at about 3.30/4.00 p.m. and returned at 1.00 a.m. to fix the leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most rudely awoken from a nice sleep! Not impressed.

I agree in principle and they made an early noisy start this morning too. The repair is finished now though :)

and the bent sign post opposite is now fixed too!

I complained to Lewisham about it, as I nearly got caught in the face by the sign attachment, as I wasn't paying enough attention walking along the street.

good that the water leak was fixed quickly though!
