Five minutes after posting - I have just heard the La Petite Bouchee van was vandalised last night in Wells Park - windows smashed and mirrors wrenched off.

Not good - very disappointed.

...except for the fact that there aren't even any awards for 'Cafes', 'Shops' or 'Local Culture' because nobody could be bothered to nominate any! I'll try and remember to nominate some places next year.

decchips' post just in. Yes. Maybe Admin might consider a "Local (SE26) businesses" sticky thread so that businesses could remind us that they're still going strong. There used to be a list on the Town Centre for local businesses but I can't seem to find it.

There are some very spiteful people about. Last night the La Petite Bouchee van was vandalised again. Windows that had just been replaced 12 hours earlier were again smashed.

Nothing was stolen - this does not look like mindless vandalism. I don't believe forum members can do anything specific about this - but you should know. Its a shame when someone is trying to build a business; do something different; whether you agree with it or not; that people do things like this - it does seem targeted. And leaves such a sour taste.
