Christmas Tree Switch On - Forest Hill Station and Kirkdale

Post by Cllr Paul Upex »

Join us at Forest Hill Station from 3.30pm for singing, music and refreshments, at 4pm count down for the tree light switch on

A procession led by the children will then walk up Dartmouth Road to: Kirkdale (meet at The Journey Café on the Old Woodman Pub site).

A second procession will start at 4.45pm in Baxter Field led by Friends of Baxter Field. There will be a lantern procession down to Kirkdale and the lighting of the Christmas tree!
(bring a glass jar with a tea light).

The singing and festivities will continue and at 5.15pm the Christmas tree lights will be switched on!

Thank you to all the Kirkdale traders for providing food and mulled wine

Did anyone receive a copy of SEE3's Christmas events calendar through their letterboxes? The details and schedule for the tree lighting and other events in the run up to Christmas are published in that free booklet, which I thought was being delivered to all local households. But I live on Kirkdale and haven't received one, nor has my friend in Halifax Street. It would be useful to know if other streets have also been missed.

We got one Mary, but it was quite a while ago now. I don't keep stuff like that and aside from Spontanious Productions, there wasn't anything that caught my eye in it. I generally look online for stuff and events.
