This Week with Sydenham Arts

Post by SydArts »

We’re on final countdown for our summer break - have you been to an event yet this year?

Do you know that we’ve gone from a festival to year round programming?

As a multi-arts organisation, we’ve brought you photography, visual arts, theatre, dance, music (various), film, events for our plus 60’s and workshops in primary and secondary schools with your outreach work.

We are running 2-3 events per month this year and we would love you to show some community love and join us.

On Wednesday 17 July we have our next #Sixty FREE event for our Plus 60’s - a singing workshop with writer, singer, composer, Katie Rose. Guaranteed to improve your mood, lower your blood pressure and promote communal bonding. Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre - starts at 2pm. Tea, Coffee & Cake.

Friday, 19 July brings you music with Stunflower. Their influences are drawn from reggae, rock, dance, funk and world music with heartfelt feeling and infectious warmth. Licensed bar and hot food.

Lastly, our final event of the season on Thursday, 25 July 7.30pm (doors 7pm) is the warm dramatic comedy Little Miss Sunshine with a cracking cast, Abigail Breslin, Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear, Paul Dano, Alan Arkin and Steve Carell - two Oscar wins, big laughs. Licensed bar and hot food from Eli & Pie.
