Re-open the railway?

Post by Guest »

If, as I read Crystal Palace is going to be a National Sport Centre - .
what is the posibility of knocking down a few properties and reworking the old Nunhead to Crystal Palace railway?

Might even help with traffic problems.

Have heared that route is to receive the Tramlink line scheduled for opening 2008. Will link Crystal Palace to Bromley and West Croydon.
But who knows we may all have hover-boards by then!

That's an entirely different route.

I can't see that reopening the old route would be viable, given that much of it has been redeveloped and built on, it would seem the only significant stretch of overground trackbed is running through Sydenham Woods.
