Pat Trembath MBE

Post by michael »

Today's Queen's Birthday honours includes an OBE for Pat Trembath, for services to the community in Sydenham.
Well deserved recognition for many years of dedicated work with the Sydenham Society and other local community groups.
Congratulations Pat.

Its Lady Sydenham and a curtsey for you grockels of the north ... actually the Queen thinks its an MBE but a slip of the sabre and Pat could have been Lady High Admiral of the Royal Navy

My apologies to Pat for my mistake.
I have managed to change the title of the thread to reflect the correct award.

Apart from being awarded a well-deserved OBE from Her Majesty, Dame Trembath bears the even greater honour of being one of the virtual Sydenham's only users to have met me in the flesh. Timmy Lund was dumb-struck in awe as I proffered my hand for campaigning maiden to lightly brush her lips against on that monumentous occasion.

Anyhoo... Congratulations, Pat.

Another 20 years of comparable service from you, Michael, and it'll be Michael Abrahams, MBE :D

Hi everyone

Just a very quick thank you to everyone who has used this thread to write such kind words - it has been most heart-warming to read them. Also, I'd like to thank others who read this Forum who have phoned, emailed and sent cards over the past week. It has been really very pleasant to be on the receiving end of these. Thank you all very much.

In response to Sean's comment about changing my signature on this Forum by appending a few extra letters - no, I don't think so - Pat Trembath will suffice as it has done over a number of years.
