SYDENHAM LIBRARY IS OPEN

Post by leenewham »

Despite what the first page of this website implies.

Please admin, please, please, please, delete or move the item on the opening page as many people who visit the library are surprised that it's open and often mention the article, or put a new post about it being open.

Ta

Hugs from Lower Sydenham.

Admin is all seeing and all knowing, wise beyond wise, handsome beyond handsome (so I'm told) and loves flattery.

Young, very young. Far more youthful than your years of wisdom. And a great cyclist, better than Wiggins, better than Armstrong, even if he was on the strongest druges or running rocket fuel in place of his blood. Even better than Boris and Andrew Mitchell.

I'm out of Champagne though, Property World got that.

Friends of Sydenham Community Library(FoSCL) say thank you to those who came to the library on Sunday the 30th September and worked long and hard inside and outside our wonderful community library. Everyone used their skills and enthusiasm, so the event virtually arranged itself, but please send some feedback if you've got a particular task in mind next time, and we'll try to provide the materials.
Also thanks to Ilse of FoSCL who did a great job organising this work session and thanks to Liz the Expert Gardener in Residence at the Home Park Community Garden who worked hard with the Youth Challenge Programme to arrange a group of young people to assist in the Library and the Community Garden. These work 'days' do make a positive difference to the library, again, thank you all

Dear Youth Challenge on on behalf of Friends of Home Park and Friends of Sydenhyam Community Library thank you for bringing to us a fantastic a group of young people whose hard work and enthustiasm has made a signicicant diferrence in imroving the eniviroments of Home Park Community Gardens and Sydernham Community Library. The young people were a credit to themselves and to the Youth Challenge Programme.

Is there any reason why we can't change the article on the front page of this site admin?

I am surprised also that the page has not been changed but I am sure it will be eventually :D

I am so glad that the library has now been taken over and is being run by locals.
It would have been such a shame if it had closed permanently

Do you need any books?
I have many to pass on. Mostly Fiction but also some others.

Please PM me if so as I need to clear out lots of books (and other stuff).
I cannot deliver (do not drive) but am near Forest Hill library for collection.

Regards
Sue

Thanks. :-)

C'mon, admin. the front page is so out of date, it looks like this site is defunct. My vote would be for trimming this site down to just the forum.

Lee - have you PMed admin about this?
