It is shopping on line that partly destroys local jobs.

I try to support local business. Hence local employment.

By the way Mike they are both Scottish.

Yes Eagle indeed they are, however only one of them has one eye thus removing any doubt that they are both idiots

:P

Can't argue about supporting local businesses but can argue about furnishing the lifestyles of mega rich curators of corporate atrocities and greed.

*is now confused about whether he's debating with the anti-shed-shopping brigade who are are*

a) anti-shed because they destroy independent traders; or
b) anti-shed because they prefer the internet.

*Either way, think's there's a lot of "hate" about in Sydenham regarding shopping*

I'm as subtle as a car crash but I don't do hatred in regards to shopping.

Red Routes have done a lot of damage.

I too but great fan of so called retail parks to serve a car driven society. However welcome any new jobs.

Would prefer if they were in conventional shops in Sydenham Road , but one has to be realistic and appreciate many more effluent residents chose not to use the High Street outlets.

"effluent residents", Eagle? Freudian slip, maybe?

Eagle
I don't know if that was a Freudian slip but I would agree that "effluent " customers tend not to use the hight street.
That makes using our excellent shops a more pleasant experience I am sure.
On a more serious note, despite the opinions expressed - I must say I loathe retail parks - the promise of some jobs is excellent news .
Those that quibble at the relatively modest terms and conditions clearly have no clue about how the job market works and the value of so-called entry-level jobs.
Good afternoon
Nigel

As we're on the subject of wet farts, did you see the Thatcher funeral?

I don't think it was worth £10M?

We could have built a hostel to house 100 street drinkers for that amount of money.

Effluent was a freudian slip I am afraid. I think it sounds so much better.

Mike you seem to be trying to change the subject . Surprised you watched as you are so against. Why would we want to finance a hostel for street drinkers.
