In. Don't like the idea of giving the gaffer a free pass during his tenure. People just need to man-up and volunteer like the previous ones have. It's only for 10 weeks too...

The point is gents, no-one wants to do the job. It's all well and good saying people should 'man up' but they just won't unless they're forced to. Doing the job is a bit of a ball-ache and there is a bit of work to do; offering to cover subs is a reasonable compromise. The alternative is, I do what Powell did, resign and leave the kit in the clubhouse and hope someone picks it up.
If you're confident it's not an issue, let's put it to the test...I hereby declare that on Wednesday 16th May I will step down as gaffer. Who wants to take over?

I agree with the Subs incentive Joe, it would help to cover the cost of washing the bibs each week too...

What are the teams for tonight chief?

The question is whether it's genuinely an incentive, or is it just a reward for someone who would have done it anyway.

In other words, will someone step forward as a result of the discount who wouldn't otherwise have done so?

We also need to be fair to the others who have done it in the last couple of years (and for several months in Alex's case). Do they get a retrospective refund?

Two goals for me last night.

In for next week.

And BTW, I'm more than happy to wash the bibs occasionally if that helps whoever is in charge at the time.
