Looks like 14 this week, not including Al. Will post teams tomorrow.
It's my last week as manager and I won't be here next week. Anyone fancy stepping up? Otherwise looks like it'll become a co-op.

Late post as just returned from long weekend away. Am available for Wednesday but I can see the numbers are looking high. I accidentally took one of the bibs home last week. I'll check tomorrow to see if my name is included in the team list, if not I'll see if I can organise the return of the bib.

Hi guys,

thanks for the info -- and apologies -- I will have to come along next weds (23rd May) if thats ok. Im helping someone tomorrow, and ive also gotta get hold of some boots....

Forgot to ask if they are a particular kind of boots (stud wise). Up to now Ive played with all weathers with stud like grips, so not sure which ones I should get for the surface at Goals (all weather studs / grips or outdoor grass proper boots?)

Thanks again and have a great match tonight everyone!

No worries Christian, thanks for letting us know. Al, you've left off Nigel, who said he'd be back in this week.

You should avoid boots at all costs! We play on an all-weather, rubber crumb synthetic grass, so trainers are best. Any kind will do.

Shinpads are optional but highly recommended.

See you next week.

Now you mention shinpads!

Just to confirm again I'm in for tonight.

Obv I don't know the set-up re numbers/size of pitch etc. But as newbie and unfit one to boot I'm happy to start as sub and pop on and off a time or two. Prev experience tells me it'll take a few weeks/hours on the pitch for the ring rust to wear off and my body/mind to get up to speed.

Looking fwd to meeting you guys tonight.

Dave.

Hi Dave
We play 7-a-side usually - numbers tend to fluctuate between 10-16. We've got 16 (I think tonight), so there will be a couple of subs.
Should be £7 each tonight. I'll post the teams a bit later. Fear not, shinpads are advisable but we've never (touch wood) had any kind of serious injury. Sore muscles and the odd bruise tend to be the order of the day.
See you later; we'll be the motley looking bunch of 30/40 somethings (with the exception of Alex) stood in the middle of the bar.

Cheers
