Hi Everyone,

Thanks for inviting me Powell to play, Great game last week. I'm the new guy who joined you guys last week for a game and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You guys are really good, and hopefully I get the chance to play a game with you all this week.

Could you please let me know if there is room for me to play this coming Wednesday?

Arjun

I'm sure there will be, but Alex (Powell) will confirm on the boards, so do check back!

And we have another new player: Carlos. (Alex - I'll give him your number.)

FLETCH has picked a neck/shoulder injury and is in a brace, so will be unable to attend.

i'm in the process of leaving Sydenham, but i just spied this today.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... tball.html

"FIVE-a-side footie fans were in uproar last night at a new £1 per player TAX on the sport.
Thousands who use all-weather pitches for games were told to stump up the levy.
It follows a ruling by the taxman that the hiring of them is liable to VAT at 20 per cent.
Players previously exempt and typically paying £4.50 each for a kickabout face a rise of almost a quid. " (The Sun , 1st July 2012)

The fairly recent price-hike at GOALS was unfortunate, and the timing of this is exceptionally bad. I would hope that GOALS could absorb the VAT, but it is likely they will pass it on to the players. A bit of a shame, but hopefully the group can continue, if only for the social side :D

I see even the People's Princess T'riffic 'Arry has chimed in with his unwelcome fackin' two-penneth!

Presumably through a rolled down window whilst driving away from the training ground! Everytime you see Top Top you realise he's morphing into his Dad a little more. I bet Nurding is filing for a divorce quick smart.

Anyhoo; IN for this week.
