Chess

Post by Checkmate »

Would the good folk of Sydenham class chess as a sport?

Does anybody play it?

Summer's coming, gotta be someone who's happy to sit outside a pub with a (purple) beer playing a nice game of chess?

i've not played ina a while.
In fact i don't even have a chess board.
I think the Woodman used to have a few bord games around the bar.

Certainly up for a go, time and venue to be arranged

definately. I've already met a (since departed) forum member for a game once. I don't play as often as I used to - but that's mainy due to a lack of people to play against.

PM me to arrange something...

Writing as the Crystal Palace Millenium Year Champion, most definitely not. This was a wheeze dreamed up by a number of leading chess organisers to try to get some money on government cash.
