Multicultural Sydenham

It was good to see Jim Dowd (the Greyhound was not mentioned!) and representatives of the Sydenham Society at the intercultural mass (standing room only) and buffet lunch held yesterday at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord in Kirkdale. Everyone seemed to think it was a great success, and to have particularly enjoyed the singing, led by our largely West African singing group, supported by a drummer as well as by our regular (Sri Lankan) organist. It made me proud to live in multicultural Sydenham!
