Girton road

Have been meaning to ask if this road is in the conservation area. The houses are really lovely on that street (although a minority have already unfortunatley acquired UPVC front doors and tarmaced over their drives). Most of them are stunning.

Hi Poppy - no it isn't unfortunately. Some years ago the Sydenham Society included Girton Rd in a proposal for a new conservation area but Lewisham restricted the area they designated to the Thorpes - and the Thorpes CA was susbsequently extended in September to include the Victorian terraces on the north and south sides of the high street.
