On the BBC news tonight, Boris was saying that Londoners pay on average over £2000 each which supports the rest of the UK, he said london population has increasesd by I think 11% and that the money Londoners pay towards other communities is needed here to sustain the London population, ie schools etcetc

I am sure Boris is correct. However within reason areas in a state should support each other.

In Scotland this seems to have gone to far

London does have a number of jobs relating to being the Capital City. Ministries , Parliament etc , although a number have been send to the regions in recent years.

We do have more , by far , of our share of immigration and by implication big families.

Do you think that because the cost of living in London is higher, that the benefits people receive outside London should be less?

This is a no brainer YES YES YES.

State workers should receive less to enable private industry to recruit in these areas.

How about public spending on benefits like unemployment benefit, housing benefit etcetc, should they be paid according to the cost of living where you live?

I tweeted some Tory MPs from the Northwest of England asking them if they would take a 30% regional pay cut. Not one taker...

"Tory M.P.s in the Nothwest " , why don't you ask the Labour ones who are the majority ? Is it that the non response from them would not support your point ?

The Conservatives are proposing it. It would be pointless to ask those against a pay cut for their region to themselves take a pay cut. Best to ask the multi-millionaires like Osborne, Hague etc

You I believe , along with usual suspects , have blamed our banking fraternity for every ill , including the weather.

Also I was unaware that The Rt Hon William Hague inherited vast wealth, but of course I could be wrong.

The financial services industry looted a trillion quid from the economy. Spin it anyway you like. That is what happened.

When people moan about 'elf and safety it is because INSURANCE companies have the final say, naff all to do with any H&S measures as any fireman can confirm.

Whereas your first statement was somewhat predictable , your second statement leaves me baffled. What the hell as this got to do with our good Foreign Secretary.

I do not know if true or not.
International banking employs over 350,000 in London. Most above average wage.
Can you imagine what would happen to London if they are driven away.
Of course any who have broken the law should be criminally prosecuted . But please do not tar them all with the same brush.
