Reading in the park possible here?

Post by mosy »

An internet friend posted a pic after a visit to Holland showing a few deck chairs set out in a park and books placed on the grass for people to pick up and read whilst sitting there.

Could something like that work in our parks? Weather permitting, or perhaps books stored in plastic crates (to keep dry) in a little cabin, like a pitch & put mini shed, which people could even just take if they wanted them. Bookshops can only take so many second hand books so maybe it could be another option. (Notwithstanding or maybe even including the Lower Sydenham repository.)

Just throwing this up in the air.

I think it's a nice idea Mosy.

Mayow seems the ideal place of this, there are the green bowling huts which could be used for storage (for both books mac chairs).
