I won't book the pitch until we get 10 confirmed players
so that's 4 so far. We still need more names

good news and less good news. Guys i'll book the pitch for this Wednesday, but my wife has made plans for me so i'll have to bail out.

So someone else will have to collect the monies on the night

The pitch is now booked for an 8pm kick off.
As i said , you'll have to get there a bit early for someone to collect the monies. By my calculations there ahould be 11 or 12 people so the cost will be covered (£6 per player, pitch cost £58.90))

As a financial update on the monies so far, we have £47.50 in the kitty. I paid for a spare ball and the new bibs out of the kitty fund. If there are any excess monies on Wednesday, can someone forward it to me so we can put towards this free game which will happen in the next few weeks.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be in play for a while unfortunately :(

I've injured by foot at work and it's been niggling me for a while.... I've just had the first bit of exercise since doing it and I'm in a fair bit of pain :(

p.s.

if for some unfathomable reason, you don't get at least 10 people this wednesday, then please let me know what i need to 'pay back' out of the kitty funds.

it is too late to cancel the match, so you should play, regardless of numbers.

However, i'm confident you'll get the numbers and the weather forecast is.....HOT

Would anyone care to pass some information as to what happened last Wednesday?

Did it go smoothly, or did it end in a fight in the car park?

I am assuming that all went well and that i am not shortly to be in possesion of a bill for £58.90? That being that case, can I have a show of hands for next Wedesday 26th KO 8pm?

My injury seems to have almost cured itself, so i should be playing.
Anyone else?

Hi Alib

All went well and pitch paid for
I'm on for next wednesday
will ask my friends nick and andy and let you know.

Nick brought his son Luke last wednesday because of childcare and he really enjoyed it
Luke wants to come again
What do people think ?
Is Luke too young ?
We don't want to spoil it for anyone

We don't play too rough, but it depends on whether Luke is up to it. Generally 13-14 would be an age where he'd be able to tough it out. However, we should get Nick to sign a disclaimer incase we get a ball-to-face, or ball-to-groin situation.

Some players have rather strong shooting feet.

I'll be looking to book early next week, so a show of hands before Monday evening would be good, or earlier if you can commit.
