Local opticians

I have recently been to Boots and then Specsavers (both near where I work in central London) for an eye test but have not been entirely happy with either. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good local independent optician in Sydenham or Forest Hill (or failing that other nearby areas)?

Agree with others - Woodfalls is good. Enjoyable checkups, enjoyable selection of frames as you see and feel your money being spent; good honest and balanced opinions given as to the differences between them and other nationwide opticians who offer two for one etc. you take your choice. After sales is excellent - always able to drop in and ask them to adjust the specs.
