Motorcycle service workshop?

Post by stephen »

Hi,

Can anybody recommend a good, reliable, trustworthy motorcycle servicing workshop / mechanic in the Sydenham or Penge area?

Thanks,
Stephen

Leaf is referring to Watford Tyres, i do not think they service engines, just change tyres.

Locally you got
Bob Porecha
303, Sydenham Rd, London, SE26 5EW
Tel: 020 8659 8860
Classification: Motorcycle Repairs & Service

in Sydenham, though i cannot vouch for them as i am a cager.

Bob Porecha is good, but they specialise in BMWs and I don't know if they do other stuff.

I've used Ron Compton in Brownhill Road, Catford, Frank Dunstall at Elmers End and Aye Gee at Welling. One I forgot on the other thread was Sterling Motorcycles in Stanstead Road (at the junction with Brockley Rise), which is where you will now find Tony who used to run Streamlines in Lordship Lane, all round good chap and as good a place to start as any in the search for a decent local bike shop.

I can recommend Sterling Bikes on stanstead road. I'm going through a tiresome claim on my scooter (a lovely escort driver took it out from under me on Lordship Lane!) and they've been helpful all the way.
