Pterodactyls

Post by user100 »

What a shame about the pterodactyls. Hope they get repaired.

On a pedantic note: they are reptiles, not birds :-)

Here's a good article from Wikipedia:

Thanks for the correction which I have fixed on site. Just a shame Pterodactyls have at lost gone extinct in Sydenham (Cue outrage from SE20 claiming young Paxton stole the Park from the good burghers of Penge).

This is sad news. That must have taken some effort to nick. Can only assume it is gracing some private rockery in kent, scaring off the birds. But still, very rubbish and sad news. Only today I reminded myself of the joy of public facilities. I went to the library and read the paper. A small thing, and not in the Sydenham area, but made me realise how good public services are and how much we take them for granted. The park is another fine example, and the dinosaurs are a great bit of character. I think the victorians are turning in their graves at this news. And rightly so.

Yeah - that really is too bad.
However they may have been removed deliberately by the local borough council for having prehistoric form of bird-flu.
