Flood Risk

Post by The Clown »

All

It strikes me that it may be worth using this forum to map any problems seen in light of the recent inclement weather. Thankfully I am not aware of any problems on my street (Homecroft Road) but I am reliably informed that basements were flooded on Tannsfield Road and that Cator park looked more like a lake than an expanse of grass.

The drains do look high to me in Homecroft and I have to say that due to insurance problems (yawn) I am a little jumpy to say the least.

Has anybody had any problems with drainage recently or in the past?

Well, I'm on Tannsfeld but I don't have a basement, so haven't seen any signs of flooding so far. Cator Park has looked okay as well when I've walked by this week, although it was looking a bit waterlogged last week during the worst of the deluge.
