I use Autocure which are a VW specialist. Richard the owner used to work for VW for years and has now set up on his own. You can contact him on 0208 658 2222 or 0773 980 2222 and he's in the penge area. I dont have any personal affiliation with Richard he just a really good mechanic that wont rip you off and he has always been really helpful to me. Hope it helps ya.

Hi

There's one on Buelah Hill, SE19, but I can't remember the name of it. If you google VW and that address I'm sure it will come up.

I’d recommend Knighton Motors on Sydenham Road who I’ve used for a few years. As far as I can tell, they’ve always done a good job without undertaking unnecessary work.

Volkspares at the High Street end of Newlands Park Road, are brilliant. They know everything about all VW's (we took ours there for years, and my sister-in-law still does) and they are by far the best value around.

It's basically around the back of the Ladbrokes, the bookies.

Regarding Volkspares, they used to be really good as Fishcox stated and my ex father-in-law was the garage manager for years, but he left and the owners sold the garage to someone else and a few of my mates have been there recently and complained of bad service and rude staff. I personally wouldnt go there now but im sure theres loads of people that would disagree, i suppose thats the good thing about choice hey.

Re: Volkspares, for convenience, I had my car serviced when the new owners took over. I wasn't very happy with the service or the staff. I had to top up the oil level after a month, I am sure they have many happy customers I just wasn't one of them.

I have been using Kar Klinik on Brockley Rise, opposite the graveyard, they have always been honest and reliable and reasonablly priced.

I've got to say that Knighton Motors are the only garage I have ever been to where the actual bill was less than their estimate. Highly reccomended.

I recommend F Bull and sons.

I found them recommended elsewhere on this forum a couple of years ago & they have been fantastic. Friendly, reliable and incredibly cost effective.

Unit 5 Abbey Trading Estate, Bell Green Lane, London, SE26 5TW, 020-8659-9979

They've changed oil for under £20, polished up a scrape I'd had on the way there (at no cost), MOTs are painless and they'll even give advice on who to contact for stuff they don't do such as glass fitting. They recommended Watling Tyres to us for a replacement tyre who were also very reasonable.

Love 'em.

QUEENS MOTORS behind Homebase in Penge are great. They've recently rebranded as Ford specialists, but have kept my Golf going for years and are always reasonable in price and very helpful. I wasn't at all impressed with the VW garage on Newlands Park.
