Hi everyone,
I have been living in Sydenham for about a year and am quite keen to join up with a local amdram or theatre group. Does anyone know if there are any running in Sydenham?

Not sure of their name but an AMdram group put on a performance at the Dolphin last summer, if you ask in Kirkdale Bookshop I'm sure they'd be bale to tell you how to contact them. Or pop into property world and ask for Dan, he played someone and they sponsoired the event so he'll probably know.

That was more a pro-am performance. The leads were professionals, the workers were, well mostly, folk who work here in Sydenham.
Jonathan Kaufman from the Kirkdale Bookshop and Spontaneous Productions put it on. He has done stuff at the Brockley Jack and is the Director of the upcoming Sydenham Arts Festival in July.

There is a group in Brockey called Montage, i no this is not Sydenham but i attended here 2 years ago for 3 terms and it was great fun. They do a adult musical theatre group and for all abilities.

Also there is one in Eltham i no again not local to Sydenham called tHe Bob Hope theatre group and you pay £25 and you get to be in there in house productions have a look at the websites

Sorry they are not as local as you may have hoped but i no they are both good groups to work for.
