The old Seven Eleven shop

Post by fishcox »

Had to get some bread and basil the other night on the way home, and popped into the shop next to The Two Halves.

Amazing place ! Great selection of cheeses from the Med - and an incredible selection of Middle Eastern breads (and the basil).

I bought some Iranian bread (like a giant - and I mean GIANT - naan) which was 60p. It was perfect for mopping up a chicken curry.

I was in a bit of a rush, but I'll be back. They had honeycomb honey in there too.

It is amazing isn't it? The feta looks to die for, and the Turkish Pizzas.

I also love PFC. I could browse in the spice aisle for ages. I can find specialist ingredients in there that I used to have to trawl around London to find. And you can't beat the amount of lemons you get for £1!

I agree too - it's a great addition to the High St, and the variety of jars of olives is impressive.
